DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – State Representative Niraj Antani has introduced a bill to make it cooler inside school buildings when the temperatures are oppressive.
This comes after a hot start to the school year that forced many schools in the Miami Valley to close or schedule early dismissals.
The bill would require that money be set aside for air conditioning for all new school building projects.
It also asks for two state commissions to look into the need for air conditioning in all current schools.
