Residents in the Miami Valley will have a free smoke alarm in their homes, thanks to the American Red Cross.

2 NEWS and the American Red Cross are Sounding the Alarm to help keep you safe from fires.

More than 400 people called into our newscast from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 24 and will receive a free smoke alarm.

Red Cross volunteer members will install the smoke alarms for free.
