DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Protesters gathered at Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton and plan to march in the city.
Desiree Tims, the Democratic Congressional nominee for district 10, spoke to protesters about the need to be involved in the political process and asked that people get out and vote this November.
1:45 p.m. Protesters returned to the square and concluded their march. Police ask that drivers be mindful of increased foot traffic as the protesters head back to cars and others modes of transportation.
1:15 p.m. Protesters march from the Courthouse Square, to the Oregon District to Second Street near St. Clair. Police on bicycles ride with them to ensure they are safe while in the streets.
12:22 p.m. Protesters began gathering at the square around 12:15 p.m. and Dayton police notify the public that there were no street closures at that time.
