DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A former private security guard was indicted on six counts Thursday for inappropriate sex acts involving several minor victims.
On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Dayton Police Department received information from Crime Stoppers that a security guard working at the Northeast Recreation Center on Princeton Park Drive had sexually assaulted teenage boys in her van.
Further investigation revealed that 41-year-old Laquita Ross, employed by Moonlight Security, had sexually assaulted a number of young boys.
She was indicted Thursday on two counts of rape of a child under 13 years of age and four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Ross is in custody, being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $250,000 bond. She was arraigned on Tuesday, April 23, at 8:30 am.
If she is able to make bond, she will be placed on house arrest.
Prosecutor Heck added, “During Child Abuse Prevention Month we always remind the community of the importance of ‘See Something, Say Something.’ Cases like this should serve to remind everyone of the value in reporting suspected child abuse. Thanks to the efforts of one person reporting this defendant’s actions to Crime Stoppers, she is now in custody and unable to assault any more children.”
