EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Preble County Sheriff is looking for a suspect after an armed robbery Friday.

Sheriff Mike Simpson said Monday the Pilot Truck Stop at US-127 and I-70 in Preble County was robbed around 11:30 Friday night.

Deputies say a light-skinned man wearing a ski mask went into the truck stop, approached the clerks and pointed a gun at them.

The man then ordered the clerks to open the cash drawers. The suspect took an unknown amount of cash and ran north from the store.

The man is described as 5-feet, 8 to 5-feet, 10-inches tall, wearing a jogging suit with a New Orleans Saints emblem on the left chest.

Based on security video from the store, deputies believe the man got into a black Ford Escape that was parked nearby with a second man inside. According to the Sheriff’s office, the SUV left heading east on I-70.

The SUV may have had temporary plates on it.

No one was injured in the robbery and the case remains under investigation by the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.
