DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police say a disturbance on the road ended when a woman was hit by a car.
Police were called to Cornell Drive and North Gettysburg Avenue after a report of a person being hit by a car.
When officers arrived, they found a woman lying in the road. The woman told police she was a passenger in a car that was being chased by two other vehicles.
According to police, the cars were traveling up to 100 mph on I-75 and Salem Avenue during the incident.
The woman said at one point she got out of the car to confront one of the pursuers when the car hit her and left the scene.
Police are trying to learn why the car was being chased. The person that was driving the car the victim was in is cooperating with police.
The unidentified victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where she is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
