DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police and SWAT surrounded a home in Dayton early Wednesday after trying to serve a search warrant.
Police say they were serviing a “high risk” narcotics search warrant at a home on Vernon Drive, near Lexington Avenue.
Shortly after arriving, authorities surrounded a duplex on Vernon Drive.
Police say tear gas was used to take two people into custody from one half of the duplex.
Authorities were still working to clear the other half of the duplex to search for other suspects.
Police blocked Vernon Drive at Lexington Avenue during the standoff and investigation.
