Police searching for Rite Aide robbery suspect

VANDALIA - Police in Vandalia are looking for a man they say robbed a Rite Aid Saturday morning.

According to Vandalia Police, a male suspect walked into the Rite Aid on West National Road around 11:15 am. and displayed a note to the pharmacist demanding prescription medication. They say they don't believe a  weapon was shown.

The suspect fled on foot.

Police say the suspect stopped in the business 30 to 40 minutes before the robbery to search the store. 

The suspect is being described as a black male in his mid twenties to early thirties. He was wearing a red hoodie, jeans, and a baseball cap.
