XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are searching for a man who robbed the Rite Aid in Xenia Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a robbery at the Rite Aid on Allison Avenue, near W. Main Street just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
According to police, the suspect is a man in his early 20s, standing between 5’5″ and 5’10”. He was wearing a black hoodie, white shirt and black pants.
Police released a surveillance picture of the suspect.
Police say the suspect showed a note to employees demanding merchandise from the store. Investigators are working to figure out what the man took from the store.
There were 5-6 employees inside the store at the time of the robbery. Police did not have a number of customers who were inside when the store was robbed.
Police say no verbal threats were made during the robbery. There was no weapon displayed.
The man ran away, going south from the store. After investigating, police determined the suspect had a vehicle waiting around the corner to take him from the scene.
Police released a picture of a suspect vehicle in the robbery.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from the Rite Aid and from surrounding businesses to gather more information.
Police say this Rite Aid has been robbed in the past, most recently about three months ago.
