DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Several people are in custody after shots were fired early Sunday morning in Dayton.

The incident started after police heard shots shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday in the area of West Third Street near North Union Road.

Trotwood Police said officers saw two vehicles traveling west on West Third Street while speeding and heard more shots fired. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle.

Five people were taken into custody in connection to the incident, including two juveniles. Police said the shooting is not believed to be a random act. The incident is under investigation. No one was injured.
