Police looking for suspect in Dollar General thefts

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Police in Dayton are asking for help identifying a man in connection with thefts at two Dollar General stores.

The Dayton Police Department released surveillance images Tuesday of a man they say is suspected of stealing several items from the stores.

The first incident a happened on June 10 at the Dollar General on Gettysburg Avenue around 4:30 pm.

The second incident took place on June 11 around 3:30 pm, this time at the Dollar General on West Third Street.

The man is described as a white male, 5-feet 8-inches tall, medium build with reddish hair and beard.

Police say in both instances the man put several items in a store basket and then ran from the store with them. The man was seen getting into a white four-door sedan driven by an unknown person.
