RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are working to learn if gas station break-ins in two communities are connected.

Riverside Police say four suspects broke into the Valero gas station on Valley Street, near Herman Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspects, described as teenage males, broke a window to get inside the gas station. They stole two cash registers and cigarettes.

Police say the suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV.

Moraine Police are investigating a similar incident. Police say four to five suspects used a rock to smash in the glass on the front door of the Marathon gas station on Dryden Road, near Arbor Boulevard, in Moraine.

Police say the suspects were unable to get inside, before taking off in a dark-colored SUV.

At this point, police have not confirmed the incidents are related.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call Moraine or Riverside Police.
