TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLWT) — A car was shot on Interstate 71 in Warren County Friday in what police are calling an apparent road rage incident.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Friday in the southbound lanes of the intestate near State Route 123 in Turtlecreek Township.

According to officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a white 2014 Chevrolet Express van had a single bullet hole on the front passenger door.

No one was struck by gunfire, and police did not elaborate on the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

But authorities said they believe the shooting was road rage-induced, and that the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The victim described that vehicle as a white Scion xB with Kentucky license plates, adding the driver was a white male with medium-length hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 513-932-4444.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
