Pavilion dedicated as part of Eagle Scout project

GERMANTOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – The Astoria Pavilion was unveiled near the Astoria Health and Rehab Center in Germantown Friday.

It was dedicated in the memory of Christy Shackleford, who died of breast cancer. Her family was there for the ceremony, as was the Eagle Scout who built the pavilion as part of a project.

“It’s nice, it really shows how much it means. It makes the project feel more important and real,” says Lance Helton.

He says the pavilion has been close to a three-year planning and building process.
