Passenger in serious condition after rollover crash in Darke Co.

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after a driver lost control of their vehicle.

Around 4:23 pm, Darke County deputies, along with Arcanum Rescue, Greenville Township Rescue, Pitsburg Fire Department, Arcanum Fire Department, Miami Valley Care Flight, and Darke County Accident Reconstruction Team responded to reports of an injury accident in the 2100 block of OH-49.

An investigation revealed that a 23-year-old Greenville woman was driving a gold 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada southbound on OH-49 when she lost control and drove off the left side of the roadway.

The car overturned and ejected her passenger, a 43-year-old Greenville woman.

The car came to rest on top of her, and she had to be freed by emergency personnel on the scene.

The driver was taken to Wayne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the passenger was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where she is listed in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
