HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 12 people received citations during Tuesday’s OVI sobriety checkpoint in Harrison Township.

None of those citations were for impaired driving, according to the Montgomery County Combined Agency-OVI Task Force.

The checkpoint was held in the 4600 block of N. Main Street, near Greenhill Road.

Deputies checked nearly 600 vehicles during the checkpoint.

Task Force officials say 6 drivers were cited for driving under suspension, one received a citation for no driver’s license, one received a seatbelt citation and one received a headlight citation.

An accompanying saturation patrol led to two citations for driving under suspension and one citation for driving with no plates.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone to drive responsibly during the 4th of July holiday.
