MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County will operate a sobriety checkpoint on Friday in Montgomery County, Ohio.
The OVI checkpoint and enhanced patrols during this upcoming weekend is an effort of law enforcement agencies to deter and to apprehend impaired drivers.
The Combined Agency OVI Task Force will conduct a roadside check of drivers for a valid license, alcohol, and drug impairment.
The location of the upcoming checkpoint will be revealed Friday.
The task force reminds drivers to not drive impaired and remember to use seat belts.
Operational support for the checkpoint will be provided by the law enforcement officers from the Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County.
Checkpoints are also planned for Shelby Counties this weekend.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is holding an OVI checkpoint Thursday night from 8 to 10 pm on Ohio 29 in St. Marys.
