Authorities found drugs and a loaded gun inside a car after a chase ended in a crash in Dayton.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the chase began after a car fled a traffic stop on I-75 northbound near Stanley Avenue just before 2 a.m. Thursday.

The chase ended moments later when the suspect vehicle got off at the Needmore Road exit, ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles suffered reported minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

OSP says troopers found a loaded gun and felony drugs inside the suspect vehicle.

According to troopers, a 33-year-old man from Dayton with a criminal history is the suspect. The man reportedly has a history of failing to comply with officers.

OSP didn’t release possible charges for the suspect.
