OSHP: Teen facing charge after hitting school bus

JAMESTOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — A 16-year-old who hit a school bus in Jamestown Monday morning is now facing a charge.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the teen is facing an Assured Clearance Distance Charge after the teen did not see the stopped school bus and rear-ended it.

The 16-year-old driver, school bus driver and 11 students on the bus went to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash happened just after 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of S.R. 72 and Jasper Road where the road was shut down in both directions Monday morning.
