OSHP: Medical emergency caused crash with garbage truck

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – A medical emergency caused a crash between a garbage truck and a pickup truck in Miami Township, according to ot the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on W. Hyde Road near the intersection of Snively Road around 11:30 am Thursday.

OSHP said Thursday the driver of a pickup truck that was traveling east on W. Hyde Road suffered a medical emergency and the pickup crossed the centerline of the road which contributed to him crashing into a westbound garbage truck.

The driver of the garbage truck was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
