Ohio Task Force One deployed to Panama City

PANAMA CITY, Florida (WDTN) — Ohio Task Force 1 is back on the road.

The 16-member water rescue team left Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama at 7 a.m. Thursday.

The team has been deployed to Panama City, Florida. They’ll be working with Indiana Task Force 1 and Virginia Task Force 1 units.

The State of Florida will give the teams further instructions after they arrive on the coast.

The teams will work together to help people in the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Michael.
