NWS confirms tornado in Clark County

SOUTH VIENNA, Ohio (WDTN) – The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado struck Clark County Friday.

The tornado was rated as an EF0 with wind speed between 65 and 85 mph.

Heavy storms moved through the area Friday morning leaving downed trees and damage to homes in Yellow Springs and South Vienna.

A tornado warning was briefly issued in Clark County Friday morning but was canceled soon after.

A 2 NEWS viewer sent us this video from South Vienna in Clark County of what appears to be a possible funnel cloud in the distance. The NWS has not confirmed a tornado formed in the area.

Several 2 NEWS viewers sent us photos of downed trees they discovered after storms moved through the area.
