SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people are in jail after Sidney Police served a narcotics search warrant at a home Wednesday morning.
Around 11:45 a.m. on March 6, the Sidney Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 916 N. Miami Ave. Initial entry and securing of the location had to be accomplished through the service of the Sidney-Piqua Tactical Response Team due to the fact that the residence was deemed a high risk to officer’s safety.
During execution of the warrant, two people were arrested and incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail.
39-year-old Ronnie J. Scholl is charged with one count of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second-degree.
31-year-old Tyler Oakley is charged with drug possession, a fifth-degree felony, possession of criminal tools, also a fifth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor arrest warrant.
Additional charges are under review.
The warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug use and drug trafficking in Sidney.
