SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – Three people were arrested Wednesday after police executed a search warrant and found drugs and a weapon inside a Sidney residence.

Around 8:30 am on May 1, the Sidney Police Department executed a search warrant at 121 Queen Street. Due to the fact that the residence was considered to be a high risk to officers’ safety, initial entry had to be made using the services of the Sidney-Piqua Tactical Response Team.

While executing the search warrant, officers found meth, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, a loaded 380 handgun, and cash.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the warrant. They face charges ranging from trafficking in drugs to possession of drugs.

More charges are likely to be filed at a later date.
