WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Officials are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday evening.

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to reports of a motorcycle crash with CareFlight on standby on US-22 just south of Strout Rd. around 7 pm.

A gray 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 52-year-old John Hudepohl, of Morrow, was traveling southbound and stopped to turn left into his driveway.

A black 2019 Harley Davidson, V-Rod motorcycle driven by 62-year-old Kenneth Brothers, of Maineville, was traveling south as well when it struck the rear of the pickup truck.

Brothers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hudepohl was not injured in the accident.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.

Lack of protective equipment appears to have been a contributing factor to the severity of Brother’s injuries.
