MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) — The mother of Chelsey Coe spoke Monday during a news conference pleading for information.

Shula Woodworth spoke in a news conference held by Miamisburg Police on the anniversary of Chelsey Coe’s disappearance.

Woodworth asked anyone who knows anything to contact investigators.

Woodworth got emotional when she spoke to reporters Monday. “I’m constantly being reminded my daughter is missing,” she said.

She also said she appreciates people caring about her missing daughter.

It has been one year since Chelsey Coe went missing.

“Chelsey was my first born. Even though my other children are just a special as Chelsey..Chelsey is the reason I changed my life,” said Woodworth.

Chelsey’s mom is a former alcoholic and says her daughter helped get her on the right path.

Since then, Miamisburg Police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been investigating her disappearance.

“While we initially and still do have a person of interest, he has not been eliminated. We are not completely focusing on one person,” said Detective Jeff Muncy of the Miamisburg Police Department.

That person of interest has since gone off the radar.

“I believe I know where this person is. However this person has abandoned their house and quit their job. I don’t know exactly what he’s up to right now. But I do think I know where’s he’s at,” said Muncy.

Authorities have searched several locations, including Sugarcreek Metropark and a home on Lower Miamisburg road looking for evidence.

Coe’s father also died a few months before her disappearance. Her family says she was eagerly waiting for the autopsy results before she went missing. Her father died of an overdose, but Coe never found that out from family.

Coe’s mom just wants answers and thinks someone out there knows something.

“We are not coming after you. We want Chelsey. Please call. Whatever you have to do. We would really appreciate it. I’m sure Detective Muncy would like to close this case as well,” said Woodworth.
