Middle school students explore high-demand jobs during career fair

Local News

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton Public Schools hosted a career fair for seventh and eight graders at Edwin Joel Brown Middle School Friday morning.

The event featured more than 30 companies, giving students the chance to explore high-demand careers in the region.

“Exposure is the key that sparks dreaming, that sparks a connection to purpose, and if we can present before our students the multitude of opportunities, the multitude of careers, it kind of sparks their engagement,” says Donna Barwick, College and Career Readiness coordinator.

2 NEWS Reporter Adam Rife and Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Carly Smith was there talking with the students about careers in the media business.
