MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Miamisburg Schools suspended 14 student-athletes from a variety of sports, according to school officials.
Miamisburg Superintendent David Vail said Friday the suspensions stem from “an incident this past weekend.”
Vail said approximately 40 students were interviewed by administrators and the School Resource Officer and the 14 student-athletes were found to be in violation of the code of conduct.
School officials tell 2 NEWS a party was held over the weekend and video of that party was posted online.
Vail said, “Based on the code, they are suspended for 20 percent of the regularly scheduled games, which might entail post-season tournament contests and/or carryover to subsequent. All of the student-athletes, their parents and their coaches have been notified and made aware of the consequences, which began immediately.”
The student-athletes are part of several high school fall sports teams.
