Miamisburg schools hope new bus cameras will help catch drivers who fail to stop

Local News

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Miamisburg City Schools are taking steps to improve school bus safety. The district announced the purchase of five stop-arm cameras designed to capture rear license plates of cars that drive through the bus’s red stop lights.

The cameras are expected to become active this week and cost roughly $600 each, according to a school official.

The district hopes the installation of the cameras will help catch drivers who violate the law and endanger students’ lives.
