MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) –  A Miamisburg police officer made a child’s day Wednesday when he stopped to sign the boy’s cast.

Jen Wallace posted on Facebook about the experience.

Dominic fell and suffered multiple fractures to his arm. Miamisburg Police Officer Jim Duff stopped Wednesday and signed Dominic’s cast, which his mom said made him feel special and very excited.

A Dayton police officer was recently caught on camera when he stopped to help an elderly woman mow her lawn.

Comments on the post say that officers do kindnesses for residents all the time and are rarely recognized for it.

WDTN.com thinks this recognition is well deserved and thanks all those public servants that keep us safe.
