Medics were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Jackson Township Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Manning Road and Diamond Mill Road.

A car and a pickup truck were involved in the crash.

The car ended up in a nearby field with the passenger side door ripped off. The pickup truck suffered heavy front-end damage.

Authorities say CareFlight was called to the scene, but that request was canceled a short time later.

One lane of Diamond Mill Road was blocked due to the crash, with police directing traffic around the scene. Both lanes of Manning Road were blocked south of Diamond Mill Road, with traffic being rerouted due to the crash.

Manning Road reopened in both directions around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
