DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The city of Dayton’s marijuana decriminalization ordinance begins Saturday.

The new ordinance eliminates fines for minor misdemeanor marijuana offenses. Local law enforcement can still choose to file charges under city or state code.

There could also be penalties from state troopers as they do not enforce city ordinances.
