Police investigating fatal shooting on Northcrest Drive in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton police officers were sent to the Eagle Ridge apartments on Northcrest Drive after receiving reports of a shooting Thursday night.

When officers arrived they found 42-year-old Virgil Pack suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical aid was rendered to the victim but ultimately he died at the scene from his injuries.

The Montgomery County Coroner has confirmed the death of Pack as of Thursday night. The coroner has not determined the cause or manner of the victims death at this time.

Dayton Police are actively investigating this shooting and said that all parties involved have been identified and interviewed.
