Man indicted for shooting Fairborn police officer

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – An 18-year-old was indicted Wednesday for shooting a Fairborn Police officer during a standoff.

Luke Easterday was indicted in Fairborn Municipal Court on charges of attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault.

Police say Easterday shot the officer in the arm during a seven hour standoff at his Archer Drive apartment earlier in April.

The officer has since recovered.

Easterday remains in the Greene County Jail.
