Man found shot inside car in Harrison Township

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities are working to learn what led to a shooting in Harrison Township late Sunday.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Klepinger Road and W. Siebenthaler Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Minutes later, deputies spotted a car driving erratically near N. Dixie Drive and Needmore Road.

The car pulled into the parking lot of a closed business. Deputies approached the car and found a man inside with a gunshot wound to his left arm.

He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

The victim told deputies he was shot in the area of the original shots fired call.

Deputies went to that area and found a shell casing.

No suspect information has been released.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
