Dayton police arrest suspect in connection to fatal pedestrian hit-and-run

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run on Friday in Dayton.

Dayton Police Sgt. Gordon Cairns told 2 NEWS that the vehicle and suspect in the incident were located over the weekend and an arrest was made.

The Montgomery County Coroner identified the victim as 53-year-old Christopher Blocker.

Blocker died at the scene of the crash. The incident happened just after 1 a.m. on North Main Street near Forest Glen Avenue. Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told 2 NEWS when crews arrived, they found the man lying in the road.

Traffic Services Detectives are still asking for anyone with any information on the incident to call (937) 333-COPS or Crime Stoppers at (937) 222-STOP

The case is being investigated by the Dayton Police Department.
