Man facing 5th OVI charge after arrest in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — A man is facing his fifth OVI charge after a traffic stop in Clark County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol made a traffic stop for speeding on S. Limestone Street in Springfield.

Troopers arrested Paul E. Rife. According to OSP, Rife displayed impaired behavior and was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired.

OSP says Rife was previously convicted of OVI in Clark County in 1981, 1982, 1992 and 2008.

He is scheduled to appear in the Clark County Municipal Court Tuesday at 11 a.m.
