DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man injured in a hit and run crash on Christmas night has died.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirms 67-year-old Hilary Williams from Dayton died Tuesday.

Dayton Police say a vehicle hit Williams on Dearborn Avenue just before 7 p.m. on Christmas night. The vehicle fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Williams had been hospitalized since the accident.

Police have asked for the public’s help to locate the vehicle involved in the crash. It’s described as possibly an SUV, dark in color, with four doors and tinted windows.

The car would have sustained damage to the right front side and a broken right headlight.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s vehicle is asked to contact Detective Sanders at (937) 333-1104 or, if you would like to remain anonymous, contact Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at (937) 222-STOP.
