VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A single-vehicle crash near Arcanum ended with an OVI arrest early Tuesday.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office went to Hollansburg-Sampson Road, near Drew Road, just after 1 a.m. Tuesday on reports of a crash.

When deputies arrived, they found a Chevy Cruze had crashed into a utility pole, brining down power lines from a nearby home.

Deputies say the vehicle was driving east on Hollansburg-Sampson Road when it lost control and crashed. The Cruze ended up in a nearby field.

Medics treated the man driving the vehicle at the scene. Deputies later arrested him for OVI.

Deputies took the man to the Darke County Jail.
