NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The New Carlisle News said on its Facebook page Wednesday it will no longer publish its local newspapers.

In the post, the paper cited the shooting of Andy Grimm by a Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy in September 2017 as one of the reasons publication will end. According to the post, Grimm has been unable to return to work since the incident.

The post also explained that the hours required to publish the New Carlisle News, The Enon Eagle and the Tippecanoe Gazette are too great and publication will cease after the December 5 issue.

Dale and Andy Grimm said in the post, “We have enjoyed the 10 years that we have been in the newspaper business and have made quite a few good friends. Thank you for the support we have received.”

The news outlet will continue online, according to the post.
