HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters responded to reports of a large fire at an apartment complex in Harrison Township Wednesday evening.

Flames could reportedly be seen from the Northland Village Apartments building located at 5123 Northcutt Pl. and officials say it was “fully involved” on the front end upon their arrival.

Crews from Dayton, Huber Heights, Riverside, Vandalia, Butler, Englewood, Clayton, and Trotwood all responded to help Harrison Township firefighters extinguish the flames.

Harrison Township’s Fire Chief tells 2 NEWS that if it had been as windy today as it has been the past few days, “it would have took the whole top of this building off.”

Two families are affected due to the amount of damage sustained.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
