Kids, fireworks and gasoline cause Riverside garage fire

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – Three cars were destroyed and two others damaged in a garage fire in Riverside Wednesday.

Firefighters say two children were playing with firecrackers and gasoline inside a garage in the 200 block of Willaston Drive around noon Wednesday.

Fire officials say when the fireworks and gasoline caught fire the two children ran from the garage. The parents called 911.

When fire crews arrived flames were shooting as high as 30-feet into the air affecting overhead power lines.

Fire officials say three cars were destroyed and two other damaged as well as a neighboring house.

No one was injured in the fire.
