Kettering police have released dash cam video in connection to an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead.

According to authorities, patrol officer Andrew DiSalvo was responding to a domestic incident on May 5 when he shot and killed 24-year-old Michael Simmons during an exchange of gunfire.

The dash cam video shows officers in several cars rushing to the Chatham Village apartments.

“Who’s yelling shots fired?” one officer is heard asking another.

Once they arrive, the officers can be seen running over to the scene to help.

According to police, officers were at first responding to a domestic incident. That’s when 24-year-old Mitchell Simmons exchanged gunfire with police before he was shot by patrol officer Andrew DiSalvo, a nine-year veteran of the force.

The newly-released video shows EMS crews arriving moments later. Someone with a stretcher is also seen making his way over to the scene.

As the officers move their cars, you can see the area blocked off with yellow caution tape. As time goes by, the video shows people walking over to try to find out what’s going on.

According to police, Officer DiSalvo remains on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure for officer-involved shootings.

The woman involved in the incident suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.
