KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The Kettering Police Department is participating in Saturday’s National Drug Take Back Day.

Officers will be available to collect your unwanted or old prescription drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 3600 Shroyer Rd.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs while educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Only pills will be accepted; no liquids, sharps, or needles.

There is also a permanent box in their lobby that the public can use to dispose of their unwanted prescriptions 24 hours a day.
