KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — The City of Kettering has cancelled its free block party on Wednesday, June 8.

The City of Kettering said the Kettering Block Party 2022 event at Lincoln Park and the Fraze Pavilion scheduled for 6 p.m. has been cancelled due to the weather.

Another date for the event will be announced as soon as possible, according to the release.

The block party will have booths and interactive displays throughout Lincoln Park showcasing the City of Kettering Police, Fire, Planning, Streets, Engineering, Economic Development, Volunteer and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Departments.

The city said earlier that participants will be able to enjoy free hot dogs and chips as well as a performance by the Kettering Civic Band on the Fraze stage.

A bicycle helmet fitting for children 5 to 16 was also planned for the event. These fittings will be provided for free by the Safety Section of the City of Kettering while supplies last.
