Justice Advisory Committee for Montgomery County Jail to unveil improvement plan

Local News

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — After nearly two years, the Justice Advisory Committee for the Montgomery County Jail will make a proposal Tuesday.

They’ll present a proposal for jail improvements to the Montgomery County Commission during the commission’s meeting Tuesday morning.

The committee was formed in March of 2017. At that time, the jail faced more than half a dozen lawsuits alleging civil rights violations.

Committee members met earlier in February to finalize an improvement plan for the jail.

They’ll make their proposal to commissioners at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. 2 NEWS will have a crew at the meeting and will provide updates as the story develops.
