DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Investigators are working to learn what caused an apartment fire in Dayton early Thursday morning.

Crews responded to reports of a fire in the 1700 block of N. James H. McGee Boulevard, near Brooklyn Avenue, just after midnight Thursday.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in an apartment on the third floor.

Crews were able to knock down the fire quickly.

No one was injured.

Fire officials haven’t released what caused the fire, saying only that burning food was not the cause.

There’s no word on damage caused by the fire.
