Authorities in Miamisburg say they recovered items in Tuesday’s search of a home in connection to a woman’s disappearance last year.
According to officials, Chelsey Coe was reported missing in September.
Local, state and federal authorities searched a home on Lower Miamisburg Road Tuesday, digging into the ground in part of the yard.
According to police, during the search, authorities gathered information and items that may help them in their investigation.
According to a spokesperson for the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the organization sent three crime scene agents, a BCI special agent supervisor and a criminal intelligence analyst.
“I got up, and I looked out, and sure enough, there was just a lot of commotion,” said Rex Boomarshine, who lives two doors down the street and knows the homeowner.
“I’ve known him for three years,” Boomarshine said. “He seems like a hell of a nice guy.”
Authorities haven’t named any suspects following their search of the property.
According to Miamisburg Municipal Court officials, court documents related to Tuesday’s search have been sealed.
Police are still looking for clues into the whereabouts of Chelsey Coe. Anyone with information is asked to call Miamisburg Police at 937-847-6612.
