DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The driver who was killed after his car crashed into a funeral home early Friday morning has been identified.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has confirmed with 2 NEWS that 37-year-old Andwele Lateef Montgomery died just before 3 am Friday after he lost control of his car and rammed into H.H. Roberts Funeral Home.
Police say excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
Fire crews cut the driver out of the car. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
