DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Investigators are working to learn what caused a house fire in Dayton early Wednesday.
Crews responded to reports of a house fire on Lilac Avenue, near Hoover Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the house.
It took crews nearly 30 minutes to contain the fire.
Fire officials called Vectren to the scene to make sure all gas running to the house was shut off.
The house was heavily damaged by the fire.
Authorities say someone lived at the house. No injuries were reported.
